Kwahu West Municipal Assembly Engages Driver Unions Over Transport Fare Increments
The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly today engaged representatives of driver unions in Nkawkaw over recent fare increments on the Nkawkaw–Accra and Nkawkaw–Koforidua routes.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the Assembly and the driver unions to engage in constructive dialogue on the recent fare adjustments and their implications for commuters within and beyond the municipality.
Following the discussions, the driver unions agreed to revert to the previous transport fares on the affected routes.
The Assembly therefore respectfully urges all transport operators to adhere to the approved transport charges and refrain from charging unapproved fares.
