Kwahu West MCE Charges BECE Graduates to Make Wise Choices While Awaiting Results
On behalf of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has charged candidates who have completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to use the period of waiting for their results wisely and remain focused on building a brighter future.
The MCE gave the advice during his final-day visit to the 11 BECE examination centres across the municipality. He commended the candidates for the discipline, dedication and hard work they exhibited throughout the examination period and encouraged them to remain focused during the transition period.
According to Hon. Tamimu Halidu, education is a lifelong journey, and the completion of the BECE should not mark the end of learning. He urged the graduates to use their time at home productively by learning useful skills and engaging in activities that would prepare them for the next stage of their education and personal development.
He further cautioned the graduates to be mindful of the company they keep and the decisions and choices they make while awaiting their results. He reminded them that they are valuable investments of their parents, teachers, friends and the wider community, and therefore must conduct themselves responsibly and avoid influences that could negatively affect their future.
As part of efforts to encourage and appreciate the graduates, the Municipal Assembly distributed 3,200 pieces of yoghurt and chocolates to BECE candidates across the municipality.
The MCE expressed appreciation to the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents, guardians and all other stakeholders for their invaluable contributions to the education and development of the candidates. He reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to promoting quality education and creating sustainable opportunities for young people in the municipality.
Meanwhile, all 11 BECE examination centres in the Kwahu West Municipality were visited, and the Assembly is pleased to note that all candidates have successfully completed their examinations, with the exception of those scheduled to write Arabic.
The Municipal Assembly congratulates all BECE candidates on completing this important stage of their education and wishes them excellent results and success in their future endeavours. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to continue guiding, monitoring and supporting their wards during this transitional period to help them make responsible choices and stay focused on their aspirations.
