Hon. Peter Agyei-Duah Elected Presiding Member of Kwahu West Municipal Assembly<\/p>\n

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly on Friday, 4th September 2026, held an election to elect a Presiding Member (PM) to lead the Assembly.<\/p>\n

The election, conducted under the supervision of the Electoral Commission (EC), was contested by two candidates, Hon. Peter Agyei-Duah and Hon. Eric Owusu.<\/p>\n

In the first round of voting, Hon. Peter Agyei-Duah secured 20 votes, while Hon. Eric Owusu obtained 16 votes. As neither candidate secured the required number of votes, a second round of voting was conducted.<\/p>\n

In the second round, Hon. Peter Agyei-Duah widened his lead, polling 28 votes, while Hon. Eric Owusu secured 7 votes.<\/p>\n

At the end of the voting process, the Electoral Commission officially declared Hon. Peter Agyei-Duah as the Presiding Member-Elect of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly.<\/p>\n

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Halidu Tamimu, congratulated Hon.
