Honourable Members somewhere in June while going round the communities with the implementation committee of the Planting for food and Jobs programme, we visited a demonstration rice farm at Fodoa. The farmer told me at the time that ordinarily his farm yielded 18 mini bags at the end of the year’s harvest and was partaking in the programme to test its veracity. Honourable Members just last August the gentleman came to my office to announce to me that he had harvested his rice and that he harvested 59 mini bags this time from the same acreage of land. What proof else do we need to believe in the new agricultural policy of the government.
