May Day: Workers Day

On the occasion of this year's May Day celebrations, the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana, CLOGSAG, has added its voice to calls for peaceful and transparent election this year.

It says the political temperature is gradually rising and if allowed to reach a crescendo during the polls, Ghana will be the loser.

A statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Isaac Bampoe Addo said since members are aware of the desire of citizens to have an election without violence, this prompted the Association to engage the Electoral Commission to allow its members to fully participate in the conduct of the elections.

CLOGSAG has therefore asked members who want to participate in the November polls as temporary staff to contact its nearest Regional Secretariat for details.

CLOGSAG appeals to workers of the world to unite and continue to fight for the good of the working class in a conducive atmosphere.
